HID® Amico™ Biometric Facial Recognition Reader is a next-generation contactless access control and attendance solution, engineered for fast, secure, and user-friendly operation across mid-sized commercial, institutional, and high-security environments. Powered by Paravision's industry-leading AI engine, the system features advanced live face detection with anti-spoofing, dual 1080p infrared and visible light cameras, and supports up to 200,000 users and 100,000 credentials for face, card, PIN, and mobile access. With five authentication methods—face, HID iCLASS®/Seos®/MIFARE® cards, 125 kHz Prox, QR codes, and HID Mobile Access® via NFC or BLE—Amico delivers flexible, multi-factor authentication through a 3.5“ (VL35LF) or 7” (VL70LF) high-resolution capacitive touchscreen. Built to industry standards, it supports OSDP v2 and Wiegand, features IP65-rated weather resistance (excluding EAM), built-in tamper detection, and optional template-on-card security. Additional features include a SIP intercom, RS-485, Ethernet, USB, and relay/GPIO interfaces for door locks and alarms. Matching speed is within 0.2 seconds with throughput of 30 users/min at distances up to 3 meters, making it ideal for high-traffic access points.
